Halo!
Apa kabar? Nama saya Marisa Tania.
Back in 2019, I decided to switch gears from writing words to writing code and wrote my first “Hello World”. After three years of sleepless nights, I graduated with an MSCS degree from the University of San Francisco.
Previously, with my undergraduate degree in Fashion Journalism, I worked as a content strategist, specializing in content production, written features, blogging, and multimedia reporting for social media.
I’m now a Senior Software Engineer at PayPal, where I work on large-scale payment systems at the intersection of cloud computing, data, and machine learning. My work focuses on distributed systems that process transactions at scale and ML models that help estimate payment fees.
These days, I spend a growing amount of time thinking about AI and ML. I particularly enjoy the messy part between “the model works in a notebook” and “the model works reliably in the real world.”
Outside of coding and writing, I am a devoted dog mom to my rescue Supermutt, Nemo. I am also a certified Senior Lagree Fitness instructor at CORE40.
